Hi there. We're the people behind Zemio Technology Corporation, and we build apps and services that we hope make your life a little easier. This privacy policy covers all of our products, including SlayMail and any future apps or websites we create. Our guiding principle is simple: your data is yours.
We believe in collecting only what's absolutely necessary for our apps to work. Here's how that breaks down for each of our products:
SlayMail
SlayMail helps you review, organize, and manage your inbox through a fast, swipe-based interface. To do that, it needs access to your Gmail account. When you sign in, Google shares your email address and name with SlayMail so the app knows who you are.
That said, here's the important part: all of your email data stays on your device. We don't have servers storing your messages, we don't read your emails, and we don't have any way to access your inbox. SlayMail processes everything locally, on your phone or tablet, and that's by design.
We want to be upfront about this, because we think it matters:
SlayMail connects to Google's Gmail API so you can access your inbox. When you sign in with Google, you're subject to Google's Privacy Policy for that authentication step. We only request the minimum permissions needed for the app to function.
As our products grow, we may integrate other third-party services (like crash reporting or analytics). If we do, we'll update this policy and be transparent about what those services collect and why.
Since we don't collect or store your data on our end, there isn't much for us to protect on our servers. Your email data lives on your device and is subject to whatever security measures you have in place there (passcode, biometrics, encryption, etc.).
Your Google account credentials are handled entirely by Google's secure sign-in flow. We never see or store your Google password.
Our apps and services are not directed at children under the age of 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, please reach out and we'll take care of it.
We may update this policy from time to time, for example, if we add new features that handle data differently, or if privacy laws change. When we do, we'll update the date at the top and, if the changes are significant, we'll make sure to let you know.
If anything in this policy is unclear, or you just want to say hi, reach out to us at contact@zemio.com. We're happy to help.
